CASMI LIFESKILLS EVANGELISM
CASMI Lifeskills Projects
Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.
Over the years of CASMI, creative people have worked together to develop several innovative projects we recommend for sharing God's love and hope in Christ. One of the favorite projects is the CASMI Zipper Purse. Many around the world use the zipper bags to train leaders and share the gospel in many cultures. Contact us by email if you are interested in more information about our sewing program, the zipper bags, and how to use your creative gifts as a way to share God's truth and hope in Christ.
Zipper bag project brings a big blessing. Where I go or I get acquainted with somebody I tell zipper bag story and what the Lord has been doing personally in my life. Grateful for your work.

I have been using the zipper bags for years to train Bible Study leaders. They are a wonderful tool for so many things. Thank you for this effective tool!
Jessica - CBS Europe Director
I love my zipper purse and have shared my testimony all around the world with it. It works so well in all types of settings.
I live in Kuwait and your friend shared the zipper purse with me and I am absolutely delighted. I shared it with the Hearts Club for girls. I am delighted to share with them how a skill like sewing can be used for God's glory. God bless you as you serve Him!
Susan - Alpha Video Productions
While on a trip that took me around the circumference of the earth I have shared my red purse in Africa, India and China. I have used it to teach a variety of biblical truths and wanted you to know how God has blessed my teaching because of the visual that you have provided. The women's mouths drop open when they realize what is happening...it has made such an impact!
From China, Africa and India
After I am finished with the Bible teaching the ladies come up and want to hold it and see how it is done. I cannot express my thanks to you for this wonderful ministry. It has reached much farther than I could have imagined and accomplished more than I could have asked for. Thank you again for being open and obedient to the call of the Lord.

This project was introduced for the first time in 2006 at the Harbor of St. Petersburg, Russia. We still partner with this great work that reaches graduate orphans. The Zipper bag project quickly became a popular and effective workshop to not only share Christ, but an effective way to teach many how to share their faith effectively.
EvanTell Ministries in Dallas, Texas, worked with us to train us and teach us how to better equip others to share a clear gospel message. The EvanTell ministry began in 1973 and is a wonderful training and equipping ministry to help you share your faith.

How to use your Purse
As you sort through the tangled pile looking for the beginning point, begin to share how your life had no purpose or direction - be authentic as you share your story of searching for true meaning. Life is a tangled up mess without Christ.
Before Christ the bad news is ...
Romans 3:23 - We are all sinners.
Romans 6:23 - The penalty for our sin is death.
As you find the beginning of the zipper tell about how you found Christ - the Starting Point to a new life.
With Christ the good news is...
Romans 5:8 - Christ died for you.
As you begin to close the zipper share how your life changed as Christ came into your life. Share the good news of how trusting in Christ alone gave you new direction, purpose and meaning.
Ephesians 2:8-9 You can be saved through faith in Christ.
Romans 6:23 "but the free gift of God is Eternal Life in Jesus Christ our Lord."
John 14:6 "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me."
Belief in Christ alone will change you...
2 Corinthians 5:17 "Wherefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things are passed away; behold, they become new."
When the purse is completely zipped, hold it up and explain how God makes each of us a "BEAUTIFUL" and "USEFUL" vessel in Christ.
After a moment of displaying the purse, explain how there might still be problems, and we might begin to doubt our new faith. Unzip the purse several inches to illustrate that our lives may seem to fall apart, but God's word promises the free gift of Eternal life and hope - Zip it closed.
John 10:28 "I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand."
Ask, "Is there anything that is keeping you from trusting Christ as your Savior right now?"
Invite them to pray with you to trust Christ.
After you pray together, stay connected and encourage them to read the book of John. If they don't have a Bible get them one and maybe even a purse!
These young ladies learned about Jesus for the first time while they made their purses. They did feel like BEAUTIFUL new creations.
We pray all of our lives stay USEFUL for the work of the Gospel.
Currently we have a limited supply of bags. We would love to hear from you, and if there is enough new interest we hope to make more.
