CASMI was introduced to this baby house through Pastor Andrei’s church - House of Prayer. As a church they have encouraged local businesses and other churches in the area to get involved in outreach to this Baby house. Our first visit was in 2005. The team enjoyed time playing with the children and learning more about how we could help. One of the needs was for bedding for the many cribs. We are learning that the basic needs are greatly appreciated. Women from the US made colorful bedding for them in 2006. We asked the caregivers what was a great need for the children. They asked if we could sew new flannel sleepers for the babies. In 2007, we were able to deliver over 200 new sleepers for the children. We continue to sew for these children and work with the church to learn about new needs. Disposable diapers have been provided for these babies through a partner ministry for 2008. Many of the babies in this home are available for adoption.

CASMI work w/ Baby House is through
Lomonosov Baptist Church. Continue to
pray for these babies. Contact us for
further information.
Meeting the children for the first time your heart breaks. God uses each visit from a team to express His love to these children.

These playpen cribs are where the babies spend their days. The caregivers love them, but there are not enough caregivers to hold the children and nurture them as God intended.

This home cares for
about 90 children 5
and under and many
of them have AIDS.
Each room has about
8 - 10 cribs and they
all seem to be filled
with new babies. Because
there are far too
few caregivers/baby,
we are encouraged to
know that women from
House of Prayer spend
time loving these children
each week. |
