Pastor Andrei, as Pastor of Lomosov Baptist Church (a House of Prayer), leads this small Baptist congregation in the Lomonosov community just south of St. Petersburg. Andrei was the youth pastor in 2001 and connected with CASMI through Josh McDowell Ministries on our first visit to St. Petersburg in 2001. Having been a successful businessman before coming to Christ, he shares our vision of reaching others for Christ through life skills training. CASMI first helped provide supplies so he could teach upholstery to local boys in 2002. We have also provided t-shirts, new tents and sleeping bags for the youth summer camp program. 2008 celebrates ten years of summer camps for local teens through the ministry of Lomosov Baptist Church. CASMI gives thanks for Pastor Andrei and his church as they grow. Their current outreach includes a local hospital, Lomonosov Baby House and the Lupohinka Orphanage. We are blessed to work with their ministry.

What a joy it has been to help equip this body of Christ to serve. We are praying for help to assist the women's outreach.

Along bumpy country roads, women from Lomosov Baptist Church faithfully travel to orphanages two times each month to build relationships with music, crafts and Bible study. Their love and encouragement is extended to children and caregivers. Our Russian friend, Yana (in pink), coordinates the women of this church who are involved in sewing CASMI zipper purses, which are being used to tell others about the love and hope of Jesus Christ.
