Because of her love for sewing, coupled with an education degree Kathie started a sewing school she called “Come and Sew” in the dining room of our home. Her first students were our youngest daughter and several of her friends. The school quickly grew to several classes of girls and women of all ages and Come and Sew became a home-based business.

As these girls and women came into our home every week, Kathie not only introduced the concepts of sewing, but for many it was their first opportunity to witness a Christ-centered family. It was a home where the husband and wife were not only deeply in love with each other, but they were deeply in love with Jesus Christ.

As the ministry grew, God brought Heather Reed into Kathie’s life to continue teaching basic and children’s sewing. If you want information about classes you can reach her at spoolworks@juno.com.
